In Nairobi, fuel prices have increased following a regulatory adjustment by the Energy Regulatory Authority (EPRA). The regulator announced new retail prices for petroleum products, effective immediately. A litre of Super Petrol now costs Sh226.96, up from previous levels. Diesel prices have also risen to Sh227.76 per litre. Kerosene prices climbed to Sh219.87 per litre.

The price changes reflect adjustments made by EPRA to align with market conditions and operational costs. The authority cited inflationary pressures and rising supply chain costs as key factors behind the decision. The updated prices apply to all licensed retail outlets across the city.

Fuel price fluctuations have become a regular feature in Nairobi’s economic landscape. Recent months have seen frequent adjustments due to global oil price trends and local market dynamics. The latest increase adds to ongoing concerns about the impact on transportation and daily expenses. The government has not yet announced any immediate measures to mitigate the effect of the price hike.
