Kenya and Germany are finalizing implementation agreements for phase two of the Digital Transformation Centre (DTC II) programme. The German development agency, GIZ, has been working with the Kenyan government to advance digital infrastructure and public service delivery. The DTC II aims to expand digital services across key sectors including health, education, and finance.

The agreement is expected to be signed in the coming months, following initial discussions and feasibility studies. The project will focus on enhancing digital literacy, improving data management systems, and supporting innovation in public administration. Officials from both countries have emphasized the importance of digital transformation in driving economic growth and improving governance.

The DTC II follows the successful implementation of the first phase, which established a digital hub in Nairobi. The initiative is part of Kenya’s broader strategy to modernize public services and integrate more fully into the global digital economy. Germany has been a key partner in Kenya’s digital development, providing technical and financial support through various programs.
