Kenya and Rwanda signed 11 bilateral agreements to enhance cooperation between the two East African nations. The agreements, signed on Tuesday, cover areas such as diaspora affairs, immigration, local governance, irrigation, water resources, conservation, housing, urban development, culture, heritage, and justice.

The agreements aim to facilitate the movement of goods and services between the two countries. They also seek to increase investment and strengthen business-to-business links. The cooperation will focus on improving local governance and managing shared natural resources.

The two nations have a long-standing relationship, with frequent diplomatic and economic exchanges. This agreement builds on previous collaborations in trade and regional development. Both governments emphasized the importance of joint efforts to address common challenges and promote sustainable growth. The agreements are expected to enhance regional integration and support economic development in the region.
