Houthi rebels in Yemen have vowed to continue targeting Saudi Arabia’s airports and oil infrastructure, escalating tensions in the region. The group confirmed plans for further strikes following a recent attack that damaged the Aramco headquarters in Dhahran. This follows a deadly strike on Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport, which killed at least 13 people and injured over 300.

Saudi Arabia has responded by intensifying its military operations against Houthi positions in Yemen. Recent strikes have targeted areas under Houthi control, while the rebels have retaliated with attacks on Saudi oil sites and airports. The conflict has disrupted vital oil export routes, raising concerns about the stability of regional energy markets.

The situation has deepened since the Houthi attacks on the airport, prompting a nationwide blood donation campaign in Saudi Arabia. Foreign diplomats, including those from the British Embassy, have participated in the effort. The campaign was launched by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on October 6. The ongoing violence highlights the fragile state of peace in the region, with both sides showing no sign of de-escalation. The conflict, backed by Iran and supported by Saudi Arabia, has already caused significant casualties and economic disruption.
