Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi pledged support for Sudan’s stability during a meeting with leaders from Eritrea, Somalia, and Sudan. The gathering in New Alamein focused on regional security and the ongoing crisis in Sudan. El-Sisi emphasized Egypt’s commitment to Sudan’s unity and sovereignty.

Leaders from Egypt, Eritrea, Sudan, and Somalia reaffirmed cooperation on Red Sea navigation and sovereignty. They met amid rising tensions in the Horn of Africa. The meeting aimed to exchange views on regional developments without a formal agenda. Former Egyptian foreign minister Hussein Haridy stated the event was not directed against any third party.

The leaders also called for talks to end the civil war in Sudan. They issued a joint declaration urging political solutions and regional collaboration. The meeting followed a series of African events in New Alamein, including the Alamein Africa Forum and Auda-Nepad summits. The gatherings aimed to promote self-reliance and joint action across the continent.
