Nairobi’s political landscape saw two commemorative events marking the legacy of late former Prime Minister Raila Amollo Odinga. On Thursday, a tribute ceremony was held at the Kenya International Convention Centre (KICC), drawing supporters to the venue as part of nationwide commemorations. The event provided a poignant conclusion to the day’s activities, which had earlier included gatherings at Uhuru Park.
In Embakasi East, a candle-lighting ceremony is set to take place on Friday, October 2, at Jacaranda Grounds. Organized by the Mwananchi Party, the event will begin at 3:00 PM and is hosted by Embakasi East MP Babu Owino. The ceremony aims to honor Odinga’s contributions to Kenyan politics and his role in shaping the nation’s democratic journey.
